Euro Cycling Trip — ’24

Hello and welcome to the landing page dedicated to my cycling trip across Europe! This trip took me from Stockholm down to Rome, and from there I mostly took trains up to France before flying home.

As an overview of the stats during this trip, I cycled around X miles, climbed X feet, and passed through 7 countries — all within 100 days (99 to be precise).

During my trip I roughed it in (almost) every country I traveled through, cooked camp-stove curry in a Czech timber farm, learned firsthand how kind strangers can be, saw a free public drag queen rave in Copenhagen on my birthday, had the best wine I have ever tasted, slept in an Italian monastery from the 13th century, past through parts where travelers are an oddity (especially on a bike!), developed a nicotine addiction, and spent many, many riding hours processing a recent break up with my ex-girlfriend.

This was undoubtedly one of the most (if not the most) memorable and transformative experiences of my life, and I am so happy to share it with you!

I hope these words inspire a sense of freedom and possibility in you, dear reader, and perhaps even some inspiration to try something similar for yourself. A trip like this can only be planned so far. To curb my overplanning tendencies, I purchased a non-refundable plane ticket from LA to Stockholm around 5 months ahead of time and forced myself to get myself in gear (no pun intended) for literally the trip of my dreams!

By the way, feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like advice — I’d be honored to help a fellow traveler make their next intrepid journey!
